The official AmigaOS Documentation Wiki has been online for more than a couple of years now and has had many changes since its humble beginning.
In addition to brand new developer material, the wiki contains all of the previous AmigaOS developer documentation merged and edited including the RKRMs, AmigaDOS Manual, AmigaMail articles, AutoDoc style guide and Amiga User Interface Style Guide. Various tutorials have also been contributed by many authors to help developers.
Users have not been left out! You will find manuals for ARexx, AmigaDOS and Workbench to help you out. There is also room for 3rd party software manuals like Bars & Pipes Professional.
Registries have also been consolidated and merged with all available material such as the IFF Form and Chunk Registry and the Amiga Hardware Manufacturer ID Registry.
Important standards such as IFF, SANA-II (with wireless extensions), NSD and RDB are located in another section.
Although a wiki format is very useful for maintenance, it can be rather chaotic compared to a properly edited printed book. Users are invited to use the Book creator tool and produce either own customized books as a PDF copy or have them professional bound and printed by PediaPress.
The AmigaOS Documentation Wiki is not just open for editing by anyone. A select group of editors have been invited to contribute. Not everyone is an editor and a full list of authors that have contributed material to the wiki can be found in the credits. If you have something to contribute to the wiki please do contact the AmigaOS Development Team and volunteer.
Please note that the wiki’s root has been changed from http://wiki.amigaos.net to http://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki in order to conform to MediaWiki installation guidelines. Please update any external links to specific articles accordingly. Direct references to http://wiki.amigaos.net alone will continue to work without change.
